I'm sorry I missed Saturday night, but I really enjoyed the Friday night mixer. I had a great time re-connecting with alot of old friends, some since Oakhurst Elementary days, some from church & CHS. I could not believe Dunn remembered who my first kiss was with in elementary school, Jeff you've got a great memory. You are still loud and crazy but I wouldn't trade your friendship. There are not many people in life you can pick up conversations with after 35-40 years, time has almost stood still. John I enjoyed seeing you again after all our emails and meeting your lovely wife. Julie, Theresa, Grant it was great to see you again and relive our church camp days. Billy it's good to see you & the boys still know how to party, staying up lates a killer now isn't it? Major kudos to Glenda and the reunion committee they did an awesome job. Alot of you I didn't get to talk to as much but I tried, I hope we will all keep in touch. The class of '78 was special as evident in our wonderful reunion. So great to see everyone. And I've thought about why we think we're so special and I've decided it's because we as a class were open to crossing the social boundaries that usually exist in high school. I had friends who were ropers, dopers, socials, jocks, freaks, do-gooders, etc. and I think the genuine acceptance (and tolerance sometimes) we had for each other was pretty cool. Everyone seems to embrace the class in the same way after 30 years. Great idea about meeting at homecoming-I'm in.
