Amon Carter Riverside High School

I met my wonderful husband, Mark, in 1979 and we married April 26, 1980. Two years later my son, Anthony was born and then 2 1/2 years after that ou4 daughter, Christen was born. I met Miranda in our church youth group at camp the summer after her 7th grade. We immediately bonded and because of her family difficulties she came to be part of our family summer 2002. We call her daughter! God has blessed us with two more daughters, Anya and Tanya. We adopted them from Ukraine and brought them home August 8, 2009. Anthony is in HR and doing very well. Christen resides in Virginia Beach, VA. Miranda is an elementary school teacher and graduated from Midwestern State University. Anya and Tanya are in school making new friends and learning lots of english!

I teach Bible Study for 9th grade girls and have been active in our youth department for several years at our church. I am involved in missions as well. I had the awesome privilege to go to Thailand two years ago and to Belize with our youth group. I have traveled to Ukraine twice!

I started in the work force when my daughter was four. I worked for the past twelve years as a dental office manager. Like alot of people, I got laid off March of 2010. I am currently looking for employment but soooo enjoying time with my girls.

In our spare time, we love to travel, camp, work in the yard (all though you can't tell by looking at our yard!)swim and hang out with friends. With our two new additions to our family, we are seeing the world in a whole new way! We are looking forward to loving and teaching our precious new daughters and watching them blossom!

School Story:

Ok, Funny story, embarrassing but funny! The night of graduation Tammy Roberts and I decided we were going to hang with everyone at Lake Worth. We didn't want to show up empty handed so the "sweet" sister I had, took us to the liquor store. We were clueless of what to get! My sister was experienced! I couldn't go in much less buy it because I was still 17! They came out with MD 20/20! My sister assured us that we would be a hit, knowing good well we would be the laughing stock of the group! LOL! When we got to the lake and started passing the bottle, everyone was asking who brought it! I distinctly heard Jeff Jones say, "This stuff is what winos drink!" Mortified by the whole experience we left in a big hurry!
